On June 16, 2016 City of Lake Elsinore Community Development Director, Grant Taylor and Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce President/CEO, Kim Cousins presented an Economic Development Update.
The presentation included information on Economic Improvement with sales tax revenue up 9.2%, property values up 12.5%, unemployment down to 6.3%, average household income up to $72,000 and building permits up to 5,000 last year.
More than 1,000,000 square feet of commercial projects are in the planning process including La Quinta Inn & Suites, Central Plaza, Airstream RV’s, Lakeshore Town Center and Wakerider Beach Resort. Over 445,000 square feet of industrial projects are in the planning process including Pasadena Industrial Park (152,500 SF, Ness Industrial Garage (13,000 SF), and Fairway Industrial Park (280,000 SF).
